Derville Brennan

Programme Executive, Southern Assembly

About

Derville joined the staff of the Southern Regional Assembly in February 2002 working as the National Contact Point for the Ireland-Wales Interreg Programme 2000-2006. In September 2002 she was appointed to the position of Programme Executive, with responsibility for the financial management & control and monitoring of the Southern & Eastern Regional Operational Programme. In addition, she sat on DG Regional Policy’s Evaluation Network for 8 years.

In 2011 Derville was appointed to the role of Research and Communications Officer and is the Irish officer for the Assembly. She is a member of the Assembly’s Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy (RSES) team.

Derville has over 15 years of experience in managing European Structural Funds programmes. Her previous roles include the project management of community-based tourism and heritage projects.

Derville holds a Graduateship in Marketing (MII) and a MBS Government (1st class hons) from University College Cork.
